Verner M. Ingram, Jr. is the owner of The Ingram Law Firm and the sole attorney in the firm.

Mr. Ingram was born and raised in Potsdam, and attended school in the Potsdam Central School District. He received a Bachelor's degree from St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY (http://www.stlawu.edu) in 1966, and a Juris Doctor from Cornell Law School (http://www.lawschool.cornell.edu) in Ithaca, NY, in 1969. He is admitted to the New York State Bar, and to the United States Distric Court (Northern District of NY), United States Circuit Court of Appeals (2nd Circuit), and the United States Supreme Court. He is also President of the St. Lawrence County Law Guardians Association.

Mr. Ingram (Vern) is a member and past President of the St. Lawrence County Bar Association and the St. Lawrence County Law Guardians' Association. He has previously taught courses in law at Clarkson University, the State University of New York at Potsdam, Canton College of Technology, and Mater Dei College, and has lectured on law for the New York State Bar Association, and at a wide variety of civic, community, and educational institutions. Mr. Ingram has served as both retained and court-appointed counsel, as school district attorney, as attorney for the County Department of Social Services, and as Court-appointed attorney for children. He has administered a "legal consultation clinic", serving students at Clarkson University since 1983.

Vern lives in Potsdam, just a few blocks from his office. He has three children: Kimberly, a US Army Veteran of 14 years; Verner III (Tripp), a college student, and Michael, an middle school student. He also has 4 grandchildren: Donovan, Ka'lani, Scott, and Tyler.

As a sideline (an interest which moved quickly through hobby to obsession), Vern operates "The 'I' of the Camera", a photography business (pages coming soon). When his briefcase is not in his hand, a camera is often hung around his neck!

He is very active in Koinonia church in Potsdam (http://www.koinoniachurch.org) and his faith, and is a deacon at Koinonia. He has taken a number of courses, and taught courses at Koinonia and elsewhere; he is an alumnus of Encounter 2000 and Encounter 2001. Most Sunday mornings find him in the music ministry at the church, with a rather outrageous metallic purple flake 5-string bass guitar in hand. He also occasionally preaches the Sunday sermon. He invites inquiries about Koinonia, or other faith-related matters.

Strangely enough for a St. Lawrence/Cornell graduate, Vern is a dedicated Clarkson hockey fan (http://www.clarkson.edu/athletics/hockey). He can be found at Cheel arena before most every home hockey game, wearing one of a collection of unusual hats in Clarkson colors, and selling 50/50 tickets with the Knight Club, the Clarkson hockey boosters (he was named "Booster of the Year" for 1999-2000, by the members of the team), and with his omnipresent camera photographing the games during the second and third periods. Yes, he does cheer for St. Lawrence and Cornell,... when they're not playing Clarkson!

Vern is a member of the Potsdam Rotary Club (http://www.potsdam.ny.us/rotary), the Potsdam Elks Lodge; and the Board of Directors of the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce (http://www.potsdam.ny.us/chamber/index.html). He is a Yankees baseball fan (http://www.yankees.com}, and has an interest in the Civil War's Battle of Gettysburg (http://americancivilwar.com/getty.html). He enjoys music in most forms (and plays a conga drum with a local drum circle, as well as that bass guitar, piano, trumpet, and banjo) and in an occasional, rare, free moment, manages to wet a fishing line.
